African businesses often struggle with short lifespans, largely tied to their founders, whose deaths jeopardize not only the businesses but also the innovative ideas that fueled their growth. This issue is exacerbated by a lack of shared experiences and documentation, leaving younger entrepreneurs with limited learning opportunities. To address this, GlobalMentorBridge is hosting the “Beyond Ideas” summit in Lagos on August 3, 2024, at the Landmark Centre. This event will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and startups for a day of knowledge exchange, networking, and mentorship. Keynote speakers include Ifeoma Malo, Don Ebubeogu, and Abimbola Adebakin, among others. The summit aims to bridge generational and sectoral gaps through effective mentoring and purposeful networking and has received support from various Nigerian businesses and international partners, including Al-Hussein Technical University in Jordan.
