Apostle Selman Opens Prayer for the Needy in 2025: A Call for Compassion and Unity

In a powerful display of faith and charity, renowned Nigerian preacher and founder of Eternal Life Ministries, Apostle Joshua Selman, launched a new prayer initiative aimed at supporting the less privileged. The event, held at the Kingdom Arena in Lagos, was an emotional moment for thousands in attendance, as they joined in prayer for divine intervention in the lives of the needy and less fortunate.

This year’s prayer event, themed “A Prayer of Hope for the Needy,” attracted not only a diverse congregation from across Nigeria but also international participants who tuned in via live-stream to partake in the prayers and blessings. Apostle Selman, known for his passionate teachings on love, grace, and faith, emphasized the importance of compassion and collective responsibility in addressing poverty and hardship.

“Prayer alone cannot change the world, but through prayer and action, we can change lives,” Selman said during his opening remarks. “This is a call to every believer to rise up, extend a hand of love, and to support those who are struggling with the basics of life—food, shelter, health, and peace.”

The event featured a series of prayers for various needs, including financial breakthroughs, healing, and protection for the vulnerable. Apostle Selman also encouraged attendees to act on their prayers by engaging in social outreach and charitable works, particularly as the year 2025 marks a pivotal time in rebuilding and supporting communities still recovering from the challenges of previous years.

“We are called not only to pray but to act with kindness and generosity,” Selman continued. “The suffering of the poor, the sick, and the orphaned should stir something within us. Let us show the world the power of unity through our actions and our prayers.”

The prayer service culminated with a symbolic offering, where attendees contributed to a fund that will be distributed among local and international charities, providing food, medical aid, and educational support for underprivileged children and families.

In his closing prayer, Apostle Selman called for peace, restoration, and divine favor upon the lives of those who were present, as well as those who were unable to attend. The atmosphere was charged with hope as the congregation united in belief that 2025 would be a year of significant positive change for those who had suffered in silence.

The prayer service serves as the first in a series of initiatives planned by Apostle Selman’s ministry throughout the year, aimed at making a tangible impact on the lives of the less fortunate across Nigeria and beyond.
