Bankable Wisdom Secures Mastercard Foundation FAST Grant to Enhance Tech Education Across

Bankable Wisdom, a leading pan-African online learning platform, has been awarded a prestigious grant from the Mastercard Foundation’s Fund for Alumni Start-ups in Transition (FAST) Program. The grant, which ranges from $5,000 to $15,000, will support the platform’s mission to equip African youth with in-demand tech skills and bridge the employment gap across the continent.

The FAST Program, initiated by the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with key organizations including CCHub Nigeria, MDF Global, Concree, Scale Up, Savannah Innovations Lab, the Center for Enterprising Organizations, Inkomoko, and the Africa Leadership Academy (ALA), is designed to nurture a new generation of African entrepreneurs. It provides funding, business development training, and access to a supportive network for alumni of initiatives such as the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), ALA, Anzisha Prize, and the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.

With this support, Bankable Wisdom plans to launch new programs in emerging tech fields such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The platform also aims to deepen industry collaborations by offering mentorship, internships, and job placements for its graduates.

Founder and CEO of Bankable Wisdom, Precious Azuonwu, expressed his excitement about the grant:

“Receiving the Mastercard FAST Program grant is a significant milestone for us. It not only validates our efforts but also provides the resources needed to scale our impact, transforming more lives through accessible tech education.”

Since its founding in 2020, Bankable Wisdom has remained committed to democratizing technology education across Africa. The platform now serves over 75,000 learners across 30 countries, offering a diverse range of courses that foster economic growth and reduce unemployment.

The Mastercard Foundation, established in 2006 by Mastercard, is one of the world’s largest philanthropic foundations. With assets of $47 billion as of 2024, the Toronto-based organization focuses on reducing inequality and creating opportunities for youth through education and dignified work, particularly across Africa.
