Gospel Minister Shares Powerful Encounter as He Encourages Christians to Be Attuned to Heavenly Beings
Popular Nigerian gospel singer and minister, Lawrence Oyor, has called on Christians to remain spiritually sensitive and responsive to the presence and callings of godly beings, especially angels, as he delivered a stirring charge titled “Understanding Angels!!!” during a recent worship gathering.
Speaking with his characteristic fervor, Oyor emphasized the need for believers to remain active in the spirit. “There are always godly creatures around us divine messengers and the more spiritually sensitive we are, the more we can partner with them in fulfilling God’s purpose,” he told the packed congregation.
A Prophetic Encounter
To illustrate the significance of spiritual awareness, Oyor recounted a striking encounter he had with a woman who approached him after a service, expressing a deep desire to walk in the prophetic.
“She came up to me and said, ‘I want to open up in the prophetic. I want to hear from God and see in the spirit,’” Oyor said.
In response, he gave her a Bible verse and instructed her to read and declare it during the night. Though he did not specify the exact verse publicly, he emphasized the act of meditative declaration and faith in the Word.
That very night, the woman had a vivid dream.
“She saw lions not just ordinary lions, but ones that came and surrounded her,” Oyor said. “But here’s what’s remarkable: the lions were talking to her.”
The story, symbolic of divine communication and heavenly guardianship, left many in the audience visibly moved. Oyor hinted that the lions represented angelic beings or prophetic symbols speaking directly into the woman’s spirit, ushering her into a deeper realm of revelation.
Calling for a New Level of Sensitivity
“Many people miss divine encounters because they are too distracted or disconnected,” Oyor warned. “Angels don’t stop speaking we just stop listening.”
He encouraged the congregation to cultivate an atmosphere of prayer, worship, and the Word key spiritual practices that, he said, heighten one’s sensitivity to heavenly activity.
In closing, Oyor’s message was both a challenge and an invitation: “You don’t need to be a prophet to experience the supernatural. You just need to be available. Yield. Be awake in the Spirit. Angels are always close.”
The event, widely shared across social media, has since sparked conversations among young Christians and intercessors, many of whom are hungry for a deeper experience of the supernatural in their walk with God.
