In an atmosphere filled with hymns, candlelight, and renewed spiritual anticipation, more than a thousand worshippers gathered last night at the Riverstone Community Center for a special event titled “A Call to Worship: Returning Hearts to the Presence of the Divine.”

Hosted by the Interfaith Worship Alliance, the gathering aimed to create a space for reflection, healing, and unity during a time when many community members say they feel spiritually disconnected. Leaders from several faith traditions including Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and non-denominational spiritual communities came together to deliver messages of hope and to encourage attendees to reconnect with their faith practices.

Reverend Alisha Morgan, who opened the event, emphasized the importance of slowing down in a fast-paced world.
“People are searching for grounding,” she said. “Worship becomes the doorway back to peace, purpose, and connection with the Divine.”

The night featured communal singing, guided meditation, spoken-word reflections, and a moment of silence dedicated to global peace. Attendees described the experience as “uplifting,” “deeply moving,” and “a reminder of what truly matters.”

Organizers have already announced plans to make the gathering an annual event, citing overwhelming participation and positive response.
“This was more than just a service,” noted coordinator James Patel. “It was a spiritual homecoming.”

As people filed out after the final blessing, many lingered to speak with leaders or continue singing softly among themselves evidence, organizers say, that hearts had indeed been stirred back to a sense of divine presence.
